Shinrin Yoku/Forest Bathing

£40.00

Description

Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) with Helena is a rare combination of sensual immersion, gentle movement and stillness practices, meditations and simple yogic breathing, each attuned to the time of day, season and weather.

At the end of each slow walk of awareness we will gather around a camp fire to share experiences and drink wild herbal teas together.

What to expect.

Forest Bathing (Shinrin-Yoku) is a traditional Japanese awareness meditation, proven to be a profound antidote to anxiety, depression, fear and tension.

You will be taken upon a simple nature walk, whereupon your guide, Helena, will facilitate and enable a sensual immersive experience, whereby the forest languages of renewal, growth, change and impermanence will become your experiential second nature.

You will develop a sense of inner peace and stillness that will be supported and encouraged by nature’s living, ever-changing process.

Absolutely no experience is necessary. The requirements are a willingness to let go of your troubles, fears, worries and anxieties.

As this is an immersive, meditative experience, please no dogs or small children as the group’s focus can be distracted.

Consider your clothing, weather dependent, as you will be outdoors for 2 – 3 hours in whatever the weather. Wellies, extra warm layers, wet weather gear or umbrella.

Minimum No of participants : 4

Price £40 per person for 4 hours

Led by Swedish teacher, Helena Skoog, who was born and raised in the forests of Sweden, and has lived 4 years off-grid in ancient forestry in Sussex.
